High Speed Internet, Whats The Best Choice? DSL or Cable Internet?

This morning my sister
call me. She call me to ask me with should she get Cable Internet or DSL? Well I
had try both. And this is what I had To Said. If you are a Verizon or Qwest
customer or are within their service area I will recommend their DSL service. I
use to have Verizon Online DSL and it was cheaper and faster than my current cable
connection. With DSL you get a dedicated line. Not like with cable that is a
shared band and if at any given time it’s a lot of web traffic the connection
get slower. Verizon also offer a service called
Fios. This is the best one off
all unless DSL that uses standard copper lines this a true fiber optic
connection with awesome speed. I belief the plan start at around $30 a month. So
if Verizon is so good why I switch to cable. Even as for internet I will stick
with Verizon DSL I won’t for telephone service. I made hundreds of international
calls and long distance calls each month. With Verizon my phone bill was around
$400-$600 a month. So I switch to Comcast High Speed Internet and subscribe to
Vonage an IP telephone service provider. They just charge around $25 a month for
unlimited local and long distance call in the US, Canada and some international
too. International rate are way below Verizon as well. My highest bill was
around $93. So the point is that if you just want internet and don’t make lots
of phone calls stick with Verizon DSL or Qwest DSL. By the other way if you make
a lot of calls Get Comcast Internet (or check with your local cable company) and
get Vonage. I don’t mind a slower connection sometimes with cable if I save
about $400 a month on my phone bill with
Vonage.
